OpenClaw Guides

Install, validate, and operate OpenClaw with a tighter guide path for real agent workflows.

Start with OpenClaw first

If you are new, do not browse the whole site at random.

Follow this order:

  1. Installation Guide — get the shortest beginner path working.
  2. Setup Checklist — confirm the environment, Gateway, one channel, and one real reply loop.
  3. Discord Guide — connect the first visible delivery surface.
  4. Heartbeat Guide — add the first recurring health signal.

If those four pages work, your OpenClaw base is strong enough to expand.

What belongs here

The OpenClaw section exists for base understanding and first-run execution:

  • install paths
  • setup validation
  • Gateway health
  • first channel loop
  • first recurring check

This is the place to answer, "Is my OpenClaw setup actually working yet?"

What to open next

Once the base loop is healthy, move by intent:

  • go to Skills when you need capability selection
  • go to Use Cases when you need a workflow for a real job
  • go to Platforms when you need Discord, GitHub, Ollama, or Cloudflare
  • go to Resources when you need official docs, vendors, or security references

Typical failure points

Most first-run problems still come from the same places:

  • wrong install lane
  • Gateway not actually running
  • provider credentials not working
  • channel connected but no response loop
  • trying to add too many moving parts before the base loop is healthy

If you hit those, go back to:

Next step

If your goal is simply "get OpenClaw working once," stay inside the OpenClaw section until the first reply loop and heartbeat are both green.
